Since 1928, we have been manufacturing high-precision micro-drills and µm-ground cylinders for the micro-mechanics industry.
Our manufacturing program is built around standard ranges and special products that meet the demanding specifications of user workshops.
Over the past twenty years, 85% of our production has been exported to some forty countries worldwide.
Drawing on almost one hundred years of know-how, our catalog comprises + 20 standard series. These cover a wide range of applications for drilling materials such as steel, stainless steel, titanium, copper, etc...
In tungsten carbide, high-speed steel or medical stainless steel, our products range in diameter from 0.10 to 4.00 mm.
Our automated production equipment enables us to run small (5-10 units), medium (50-100) and large batches (500-1000+).

1928 : Production of the first micro-drill for the watch industry in Maîche village
1974 : Transfer of the plant near Annecy City to be close to Swiss watch makers.
1997 : Start of the production of micro-grain carbide drills.
1998 : France football team wins the soccer World Championship, In 2018 too !
2008 : Retirement of Mr Mauvais and acquisition of the company by Mr Gilles Guyot.
2009 : Development of a CNC grinding machine for the step drills. Export sales grow up to 85% of total sales with new partners in Thailand, South Korea, China.
2011 : New distributor in Sweden.
2012 : Acquisition of 3 CNC machines for increasing production capacity. Partnership in the USA with birth of the GmauvaisUSA program.
2013 : Development of a CNC grinding machine for coolant-thru micro-drills.
2014 : Acquisition of our 3rd Rollomatic grinding machine CNC 148P4. Hiring of a qualified operator to reinforce the production team and an assistant for administration.
2015 : Development of a production cell with robot loader for sharpening Z3 operations.
2016 : Retrofit of a Agathon plunged-grinding machine for step drills in HSS-Co.
2017 : New partner in Russia.
2018 : Acquisition of a CNC-6 axis Rollomatic 629 XS and Marcel Aubert Optic Video system.
2019 : Retrofit of a sharpening Rollomatic 148F3 and acquisition of a 4rd CNC148P4. Hiring of a technician and of a young qualified operator to reinforce production teams.
2020 : First grinding tests on ceramic cylinders. New partner in Vietnam.
2021 : Development and setting of Spot-Mill drills Sanitary restrictions. Partnership development in Malaysia. Hiring of a maintenance technician.
2022 : Engineering of a new generation of flute-grinding machine. Hiring of an apprentice engineer and a customer relations manager.
2024 : New partnerships in Romania, Czech Republic and Kazakhstan.
